A life of elegance in Neuilly

Neuilly has always been the city of the west of Paris with great status. Catherine van Aal, Associate Director of BARNES Neuilly, talked to us about what makes this city so appealing and how it’s an ideal living environment for lovers of both urban landscapes and large green spaces, located just 3 minutes from Paris and Porte Maillot.

One word to describe Neuilly and its residents?

No hesitation: 'Loyal'

In fact, living in Neuilly is a lifestyle, one that runs from generation to generation. Families often move here because they’re looking for a healthy environment to raise children in: large green spaces, excellent public and private schools, and above all, larger surface areas than that found in the capital of Paris. As years pass, children who were born in Neuilly also grow into young adults in Neuilly, and they often decide to buy a residence in the same peaceful and secure living environment.

One thing is certain: A life of happiness is found in Neuilly sur Seine.

Neighborhoods according to your desire

Choosing a neighborhood according to your preferences is easy. Some prefer the peace and quiet of a residential area. Others enjoy a village spirit with shops nearby. Many make their decision according to school zones - Pasteur, l’École bleue, St. Dominique, St. Croix, etc. Catherine van Aal confided to us, with some amusement, that faithful Neuilléens often tend to find parent-teacher meetings to be a rather amusing situation. We’ll leave you to imagine why.

Here’s a quick look at a few neighborhoods:

The heart of Neuilly, Les Sablons, is very lively and young. Residents like to go market, to shops or in the cinema. Its private streets hide charming residences.

More residential, the Saint James neighborhood offers a selection of the largest residences in Neuilly, equipped with gardens and park area. Located near the woods and the many private clubs like Racing, Polo de Bagatelle or the Tir au Pigeon, the population of Saint James is sporty and dynamic. Quiet and just as residential, huge boulevards coming out of the worlds, residences in Saint James offer beautiful views with Eiffel Tower in the distance. The buildings on Boulevard Barrès and Charcot are highly sought-after for its large luxury apartments with unobstructed views. The quiet area surrounding the American hospital offers beautiful large plots at interesting prices.

For a more village atmosphere, the neighborhood near the Place du Marché attracts a young population. Late 19th-century buildings are sold at attractive prices. For a bohemian-chic atmosphere, head toward the Île de la Jatte, a fashionable area with trendy restaurants and beautiful houses on the banks of the Seine. That’s just a little glimpse of Neuilly.

Under Neuilly’s spell

Neuilly offers its residents a sweet quality of life. Neuilléens have a classic style that’s also quite trendy. Here, having a feel for their savoir-faire is important, a practice of good manners and courtesy. It’s also normal to cross paths celebrities, movie actors, members of the CAC 40, and singers while shopping. Neuilléens, they’re just like us.

The charm of Neuilly is found in all these neighborhoods, from the little corners of paradise, hidden houses, unsuspected gardens. To discover its treasures, the BARNES Neuilly agency, headed by Catherine van Aal, is a leader in the Neuilly real estate market, with more than 15 years of experience.
